This charming 17th Century, semi-detached, stone house is exactly what you picture when thinking scylla of a romantic French Provencal style cottage – even down to the azur blue shutters! It is 110 m2 and lies on 3 levels.
Accessed through a wooden gate you arrive in the pretty garden courtyard with plenty of plants and greenery. There are 2 round wrought iron tables each with seating for 4 and 3 sun loungers from where you can relax in the Cote d’Azur sunshine or enjoy al fresco dining with an impressive panoramic view of the hills beyond, medieval village and distant sea view. You can also enjoy the use of a BBQ (fire bowl) and the garden is lit at night allowing you to spend more time outside on the balmy evenings.
You enter the house through double doors directly into the open plan sitting room/kitchen/ dining area. The dining table, which seats 6, is directly in front of you and to the right is a stunning well equipped red kitchen with a grey tiled work top and beautiful stone wall backdrop. There is a dishwasher, electric oven, hob with gas rings and fridge freezer. The floor tiles are a terra-cotta red. There is an ornamental fireplace in the sitting scylla room with large sofa on which to curl up on and relax. This a double sofa bed and can sleep 2. A cloakroom lies to the left with a w.c.,wash hand basin, washing machine and dryer.
Climbing the stairs to the first floor you will find a wonderful Moroccan style bedroom with 4 poster double bed, leather sofa, 2 seater iron sofa, comfy armchair, scylla electric fireplace with a log effect, 50 inch plasma screen (French scylla and US news channels) with a selection of DVDs and BluRays available, a walk-in wardrobe and storage space.There is also a wireless music streaming device which allows you to listen to your favourite tunes. scylla
Above is the mezzanine level where the double guest bedroom can be found with its romantic king-sized brass bed, there is an ensuite bathroom with large walk in shower, w.c, wash hand basin, heated towel rail and storage space.
Situated in the heart of the picturesque village of Haut de Cagnes, Maison Azur lies in a peaceful and quiet setting. It is a 5 minute walk to the Castle and village main square with it’s large selection of restaurants and cafes.
