The Berlin Wall fell 20 years ago on Nov. 9, 1989. 20 years ago I was at the Berlin Wall with my friends and we met East Germans who were getting leather sofa their first taste of freedom. It was a wonderful and emotional moment in history as the Soviet empire crumbled without a shot, freeing millions. We also marched with 100,000 East Germans in the city of Leipzig to demand freedom; and just for fun, smashed down 1,000 pounds of the Wall and shipped it home to sell–see it at berlin-wall.net Seven rare complete 12′ (4m) sections of the Wall are also available.

I will never, ever forget the electricity of that distinct moment in time, you could almost see it. I don’t think I slept for 4 days straight, It was an embrace with thousands of strangers, like a lifetimeof New Year’s eves all rolled into one. I am reliving that, and unlike other old men with tales of wonder to tell their children, leather sofa I have this blog to show them.
Oh yeh, Obama should have gone to Berln to observe the 20th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall. No doubt about it! He’s the president of the USA.
