In a way it's a bit sad that we live in a world where a movie with Al Pacino and Christopher Walken goes straight to Blu-ray. Had it been 30 years ago, it had obviously been automatically set up at theaters across the country.

It is not without entertainment value, but the story is a bit too rough, and the constant points about the characters' age loses its appeal after the first half hour. Stand Up Guys is straightforward as indifferent sofa birthplace, only you're not expecting Pacino and Walken at its best.

It's nice to see them together on the film, but it is also a reminder of how much better they were in films like The Godfather, Serpico, Dog Day Afternoon, Scarface, The Deer Hunter, The Dead Zone, True Romance and Pulp Fiction. The reunion is draw
History slivers forward at a leisurely pace, interrupted fatboy only by some short action sequences. The great conflict, whether Doc is going to whack Val or not, never get the whole big voltage curve.
The conclusion comes as a big surprise, even if it is hanging slightly in thin air. The most remarkable in the film, yet when they come across a lady in a trunk that has been kidnapped, beaten, raped group, and then confined fatboy in a luggage. And she seems to be completely unaffected and indifferent to it. Such things destroys the film's credibility.
This is an uncomplicated small film, where the reunion with old heroes are the biggest draw. Perhaps it was nice that Al Pacino and Christopher Walken did share premium route again. They have in fact played in the same movie once before, and it was the debacle Gigli, albeit in smaller roles.
